What of the liquidity of European corporates?
The recent crisis has led to tensions on the short-term debt market and on credit curves by term structure. Are these telltale signs of a looming liquidity risk for European corporates? Our estimates show that corporates are generally far better prepared to withstand an eventual liquidity crisis than in 2008. However, sectors directly affected by the direct and/or indirect effects of the health crisis will burn cash at a worrying rate, aggravating the most strained liquidity profile s .
