Young people have a stake in all economic policy questions

Thinking about the key contemporary economic policy questions, we notice that all of them concern the situation of young people: Public debt, which can be a burden for young people in the future if misused; Monetary policy, which drives up asset prices (including housing) when it is highly expansionary, which is negative for young people; Reindustrialisation policy, which determines the future quality of jobs and which requires an improvement in skills and therefore in the quality of the education system, as well as an improvement in the science knowledge of young people; Fiscal policy, given countries’ capacity or lack thereof to finance support for young people (education and training, income, hiring subsidies).
