Orange announced an accelerated FTTH roll at its recent CMD. This could imply higher capex for the other operators, but to date, Altice and Iliad have been clever at keeping FTTH capex off balance sheet in JVs. We think that there will be more JVs to come in France.
Iliad is an operator in the French internet access & telecommunications markets. Co. divides its operations into three business segments: Broadband, Traditional Telephony, and Retail Telecom. Broadband includes Internet service provider operations, hosting services, user assistance operations & operations related to the rollout of the FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) network.
