Indian Mobile Q3 FY23 review: Fundamentals intact, stay bullish on Bharti and Jio over longer term
India’s telecom fundamentals remained healthy in Q3, despite the slowdown in service revenue as the effect of last year’s price increase lapsed. EBITDA trend improved again, while capex intensity is expected to stay elevated to support 5G and rural rollout.
Reliance Industries is primarily engaged in the production and market of petrochemical products, and refinery and retail of petroleum and LPG. Co.'s petrochemical products include polymer - polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), poly vinyl chloride (PVC); polyester - polyester filament yarn (PFY), polyester staple fiber (PSF), polyethylene terephthalate (PET); polyester intermediates - paraxylene (PX), purified terephthalic acid (PTA), mono-ethylene glycol (MEG); and cracker products - ethylene, propylene and aromatics. Co. is also engaged in the manufacture of RELAB and textiles. Co.'s textile products are sold under the brand names: Only Vimal, Harmony, Reance, RueRel and V2.
Idea Cellular provides Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) based mobile services and related telephony services to individuals and businesses in India. The company operates through three segments: Mobility Services, which provides GSM based mobile and related telephony services; International Long Distance (ILD), which provides international long distance services; and Passive Infrastructure, which provides passive infrastructure services. Co. offers 2G and 3G services that comprise roaming arrangements; ILD and other services; and a range of mobile broadband devices, including dongles and 3G smartphones that provide 3G applications and data services.
