Dish Quick Hit: Saturday wasn't the day...

What's new: we mistakenly thought that Dish had to exercise its option to purchase the 800MHz spectrum on July 1st (Saturday). Based on this filing, they have until August 30th to exercise the option. We still have no idea whether they will exercise, and if so, how they will fund it. We do know that there are greater odds that Dish exercises than the market assumes. If they do exercise, it will be a big deal, because it will reveal that Dish has access to outside funding that the market assumes it doesn't have. We provide a (very brief) reminder of our thoughts here.
