Is FCC Effort to “Delete” Regulations a Bullish Signal?
FCC Chairman Carr recently released a “massive, new deregulatory initiative” in which the agency seeks comment on “every rule, regulation, or guidance document that the FCC should eliminate for the purposes of alleviating unnecessary regulatory burdens.” In this note we examine whether the inquiry is likely to improve the prospects for the revenues, margins and opportunities for the companies the FCC regulates.
