New Street: Japanese Telcos Data Centres: NTT is the 4th largest owner of Data centres in the world; not priced; EBIT to accelerate; major price target upgrade
Both NTT and KDDI are substantial owners of DataCentres. NTT in particular is the 4th largest owner of DC capacity globally. Japan’s DC market is immature with only 7% of the capacity of the UK or US, population-adjusted, with much Japanese data currently held in regional hubs such as Singapore. We expect the Japanese government to introduce data localisation laws which is likely to drive demand.
