NSR Policy: ACP Saga Continues with Markup This Week
In this Weekend Update we update the status of efforts to extend the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Last week was a roller-coaster, leaving hopes for an extension in a challenging position. There is still some hope of a stand-alone bill, particularly considering new Republican support. This week’s big event is a Senate Committee markup Thursday. If it makes it out there are still challenges, particularly in the House. Whatever happens sets the stage for Congressional action on Universal Service reform which is likely to include an ACP type program.
