NSR Policy: On C-Band, Who Wins? Musk or Wireless?
As we discussed yesterday, FCC Chair Carr just blogged that “In 2020, the FCC conducted the most successful auction in history when it released 280 megahertz of mid-band spectrum in the C-band for 5G. This month, we will vote on a notice of inquiry that asks whether the Commission should open up additional portions of the C-band (3.98-4.2 GHz) for more intensive use.” CTIA praised the news saying “We applaud Chairman Carr for his swift action in exploring how best to make the Upper C-band available for 5G wireless commercial use.[1]”
