NSR Policy Quick Take: Maybe the fourth time will be the charm?
There has been an agreement between the Department of Commerce, the Department of Defense, and the Joint Chiefs on a unified approach to spectrum management. As a result of this agreement, the markup of the Cantwell bill that we wrote about earlier today has been moved to next Tuesday, June 18th, at 10AM. Our initial analysis is that while it keeps hope alive, we don't believe the wireless industry is on board with the agreement as it does not address all the issues raised by the Cruz/Thune bill. We’ll keep monitoring over the coming days for additional insights.
