NSR Policy Quick Take: Paramount/Skydance Deal Over: What Next?
Apparently the Paramount/Skydance deal is over. It may be that Redstone doesn’t want to sell and therefore, all discussion of the likely government review is irrelevant. But we expect there to be other bidders and pressure from other stakeholders to sell. And while the specifics of our discussion last week about how the government might approach a review may be moot, elements of the framework remain germane. In this note, we quickly offer some thoughts on the risks for other deals.
