NSR Tech Policy: Supreme Court Sends Social Media Cases Back to Lower Courts
This morning, the Supreme Court announced its decision in the cases involving state efforts to compel speech on social media platforms. As we anticipated, the Court provided the Social Media platforms a temporary victory in that the laws will not go into effect, but the victory was not the clean win they were looking for, as the Court sent the cases back to the lower courts for further analysis. We covered this extensively in a note last month and below we update our analysis, focused on the implications for investors in light of the actual decision.
