KPN (Buy): Brookfield approach – good for KPN, good for the sector
Bloomberg is reporting that Canadian infrastructure fund, Brookfield, is thinking about approaching KPN to make an offer. Our target does not include a specific take-over premium, but we did recently lift the multiple that we use to value KPN to reflect the fact that we felt the sector should have a lower cost of capital to reflect increasing utility like characteristics – LINK – i.e. the infrastructure component was being under-valued and under appreciated by the market.Koninklijke KPN is an integrated information and communications technology service provider.
