The Carr Agenda: What’s an FCC Majority Got to Do with It?
In the last several weeks two related questions have dominated our conversations with investors: 1) what constitutes FCC Chairman designee Brendan Carr’s agenda; and 2) how soon he will have a majority on the FCC that enables him to effectuate that agenda. That is a reasonable coupling of questions, reflecting recent history when it took the Biden Administration nearly two years to deliver an FCC majority to Chair Rosenworcel, which she contended delayed her ability to pursue her agenda.
