Transgene - Strong Preliminary Data For TG4001 (Sponsored Research, TP EUR 3.20)
Positive data from the first 46 patients of Transgene’s TG4001 phase II study in anogenital cancers was presented at ASCO 2023. It showed that TG4001 + Merck KGaA’s PD-1 drug avelumab induced immune responses in 58% of patients, vs just 9% for those on avelumab alone. For the first time, these induced molecular immune responses were able to be linked to a clinical response, with 85% of patients with a positive immune response experiencing a clinical response, vs 67% for those with a negative immune response. Two patients also experienced a complete response, both of whom were in the TG4001 cohort.
