Can VZ Reduce Churn and Improve Performance with a Delete, Delete, Delete FCC Action?
A big issue affecting all mobile carriers is churn. One way to reduce churn is by creating friction for customers seeking to change carriers in transferring their phone to a different carrier. VZ, due to a 2007 commitment, is at a disadvantage relative to T and TMUS. VZ is seeking to change that rule, arguing that the rule not only creates an unfair playing field but also increases its costs and creates opportunities for fraud.
