Fortum : Work in progress and set to last for a while
>Results almost in line with forecasts - On Friday, Fortum reported 2020 results that were in line with forecasts. Comparable EBITDA came to € 2,434m (+38% y-o-y) vs € 2,400m forecast by ODDO BHF and the consensus. Comparable EBIT rose 13% y-o-y but came in slightly under forecasts at € 1,344m, vs ODDO BHF’s estimate at € 1,450m and the consensus at € 1,323m. The difference stems from a weaker-than-expected performance from the generation and city solutions segments....Fortum is an energy company. Co.'s operations are organised in five divisions: Hydro Power and Technology and Nuclear and Thermal Power, which are engaged in its hydro, nuclear and thermal power generation, services, portfolio management and trading as well as technology and research and development functions; Heat, Electricity Sales and Solutions, which consists of Co.'s combined heat and power production, district heating and business-to-business heating solutions, solar business, electricity sales and related customer offering; Russia, which consists of power and heat generation as well as heat distribution in Russia; and Distribution, which focuses on distribution activities in Sweden.
