Fortum : Fortum shortens the leash on Uniper
>Agreement to acquire a further 20.5% stake - Fortum announced yesterday that it had entered into agreements aimed at acquiring all of the Uniper shares owned by the funds managed by Elliott Management Corporation and Knight Vinke Energy Advisors Limited, i.e. a total stake of over 20.5%. Fortum will pay around € 2.3bn for the combined stake, i.e. € 29.93 /share. The deal will be financed in cash and via credit facilities.
