MTU Aero Engines : Targets deemed cautious despite an optimistic message
>A confident tone but guidance actually “still” cautious - Yesterday, MTU held its CMD. The CMD provided management with an opportunity to unveil its guidance for 2022 and the trajectory out to 2024. All told, we found management’s tone confident contrasting (once again) with the overly conservative targets. For 2022, whilst the target for revenue came in 6-10% above the consensus forecast of € 5.2-5.4bn (including a 15-20% organic increase for new deliveries, around...MTU Aero Engines manufacturers engine modules and components, and providers MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) services for commercial aero engines. Co.'s activities range through the development, construction, testing and production of new commercial and military engines and spare parts, through to maintenance, repair and overhaul of commercial and military engines. Co.'s segments comprised of: OEM business (Original Equipment Manufacturing), which covers new commercial engines, including spare parts, and the whole of the military sector; and MRO business, which engaged in commercial maintenance activities covering the areas of maintenance and logistical support for commercial engines.
