PSA Autos: Gloomy Outlook for Motorcycle Sales – When the Car Business Sneezes, Motorcycles Catch a Cold

While the motorcycle markets held up well during the global financial crisis in 2008/2009, analyst Julie Boote thinks that the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic will be different, substantially curtailing demand for two-wheelers in developed and developing countries. Japanese motorcycle assemblers Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha Motor are facing production disruptions, a collapse in sales and forex losses in an already fragile business environment.
