The PSA Japan Research Round-Up for the Week Ending October 12, 2018

There are reasons to be worried about the global economy, and there are reasons to be worried about global equities. However, what really should concentrate attention in Japan is the forthcoming earnings season, and it will be interesting to see how that pans out. It augurs well that a stock like Yaskawa, which would appear to be suffering more than most, can surprise on the upside. It may even be that the Nikkei at 25,000 by the end of the year won’t look as far-fetched as some are currently thinking, given the sharp sell-off in markets this week.
