Estímulo comercial en las cotizaciones
La relajación en las tensiones comerciales tras los optimistas tuits de D. Trump más tarde confirmados por una reunión constructiva entre el Presidente de EE.UU y la delegación China impulsaron las bolsas. Ambos países han entrado en Fase 1 que implica que China incremente sus compras agrícolas y que EE.UU. retrase el incremento de tarifas del 25% al 30% esperado para el 15 de octubre (en 250.000 M dólares de productos chinos). Así casi todos los sectores del Euro STOXX presentaron ganancias, lideradas por Tecnología y Bancos mientras que Media y B. de Consumo presentaron las mayores caídas. Por el lado macro, R. Unido se han acercado las posturas entre B. Johnson y M. Barnier (aunque este último enfrió las expectativas de acuerdo advirtiendo que falta mucho por negociar mientras que en R. Unido los aliados del PM tomaron distancia al plan presentado) lo que dará a paso a las negociaciones más intensas esta semana para definir si finalmente si se llega a un acuerdo antes del 31/10 o R. Unido debe pedir una nueva prórroga hasta el 31/01/20. Desde el BCE, M. Draghi reconoció los efectos perjudiciales sobre ciertos sectores de los tipos de interés en negativo. En EE.UU. los precios a la importación de septiembre avanzaron un 0,2% frente a la contracción esperada y la confianza del consumidor de la Universidad de Michigan preliminar de octubre mejoró de forma imprevista. Desde la Fed, N. Khaskari respaldó un recorte de tipos adicional si la desaceleración en los datos continúa. Finalmente, EE.UU. y China acordaron en áreas como agricultura, derechos de propiedad intelectual y tipos de cambio entre otros aunque no se profundizó en los detalles pero suficiente para que EE.UU. cancelase las subidas de aranceles prevista para octubre del 25% al 30% sobre 250.000 M dólares. Por otro lado, La Fed anunció la compra de 60.000 M dólares de letras al mes hasta el 2T’20 para mejorar el control sobre los tipos de referencia ante las tensiones del mercado repo. En China tanto las importaciones como las exportaciones cayeron más de lo previsto en septiembre reflejando sobre todo una notable debilidad de la demanda interna.
Qué esperamos para hoy
Las bolsas abren con recogida de beneficios tras el rally del viernes pasado. Los futuros del S&P cotizan con subidas del +0,08% (el S&P 500 cerró con caídas del -0,47% respecto al cierre de los mercados en Europa). La volatilidad en EE.UU. bajó (VIX 15,58%). Los mercados asiáticos que están abiertos cotizan con subidas (Hong Kong +0,98%).
Hoy en la Eurozona la producción industrial de agosto. En subastas: Italia (8.000 M euros en Bonos vto. 2023, 2026, 2040 y 2049). En subastas, Alemania (3.000 M euros en letras a 6 meses) y Francia (4.500 M euros en letras a 3,6 y 12 meses).
