TELEFÓNICA: PRELIMINARY AWARDING OF LA LIGA RIGHTS (ANÁLISIS BANCO SABADELL)
Yesterday, LaLiga communicated that on a preliminary basis it had awarded LaLiga audio-visual rights for the residential market in Spain and Andorra for 5 seasons (from 2022/2023 to 2026/2027) to TEF and DAZN for € 4.95 Bn. TEF will broadcast a total of 5 matches per day in addition to three full days whereas DAZN will broadcast 5 matches per day. The award is subject to the signing of the contract between TEF and LaLiga with the remaining terms and requirements set in LaLiga bidding documents, having foreseen a period of 20 working days from the preliminary award.Telefonica is engaged in the provision of public or private telecommunications services, including ancillary or complementary telecommunications services or related services. Co.'s fixed business includes: traditional fixed telecommunication services, Internet and broadband multimedia services, data and business-aplications services, and wholesale services for telecommunication operators.
