CIS EUROBOND MARKETOptimism continued to predominate in the CIS Eurobond market on Friday, and Russian sovereign quotes continued to press higher. The Russia 47 rose 0.3 pp to 104.1% (YTM 5.0%, Z-spread 247 bps), while the 10y Russia 29 closed slightly higher at 100.7% (YTM 4.3%, Z-spread 195 bps). The Russia 5y CDS ended last week 1 bp wider at 129 bps. GOVERNMENT DEBTDespite the weakness in EM markets, demand for OFZs remained strong. For the day, OFZs with maturity in 4-7y dropped by 1-3 bps. Other issues yielded 3-6 bps lower. It seems that strong demand from locals helped push short-dated yields lower, while foreigners bought long-dated paper. Offers prevailed in the belly of the curve.
