CIS EUROBOND MARKETActivity picked up notably on the Russian sovereign Eurobond market yesterday. A rise in US Treasury yields sparked a wave of selling. The Russia 47 fared the worst, ending the day down 1.1 pp at 91.0% (YTM 5.9%, Z-spread 259 bps), while the Russia 28 and 43 lost 0.6 pp apiece.GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZs remained under selling pressure sparked by Tuesday's weak auction results. The selloff intensified after Konstantin Vyshkovsky, the head of the Finance Ministry's government debt department, said that the ministry "hopes" to increase the weekly offer at the OFZ auctions to R20-30 bln and that there is no need to offer a large premium to the secondary market. He also noted weak participation of nonresidents in auctions. Turnover reached R26 bln for the first time in two weeks. Yields finished 10-13 bps higher among issues maturing in four years or later.
