CIS EUROBOND MARKETRussian sovereign Eurobonds traded more or less sideways yesterday despite heightened interest from foreign accounts throughout the day. The biggest gains came from the Russia 42 and 43, which added 0.3 pp apiece.GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields ended the day 2-5 bps higher at the long end and 7-11 bps higher in the middle of the curve yesterday, while the curve continued to flatten. Yields jumped yesterday morning following a comment from CBR Deputy Governor Alexei Zabotkin that monetary policy would stay "on average soft," which we took to mean that the key rate might rise above 5% (see our comment in yesterday's Debt Markets Today). Later on yesterday, exerting upward pressure on yields were a rise in US Treasury yields and a weak result at the auction for the 7y OFZ issue.
