Belarus Strategy - Webinar Highlights: $1 bln in Loans from Russia, EFSD Next Year
Last week, we held a webinar with representatives of the Belarusian Finance Ministry, National Bank and Economy Ministry. The past year has been a turbulent one for the country due to Covid and sanctions, but the economy has fared quite well. We do not foresee any imminent risks of liquidity shortages, as the country has sufficient financial backing from Russia and the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, as well as access to Russia's local debt market.
