Commodities Daily - October 25, 2019

> Gold prices find support after US data releases. The German Ifo indexes came out this morning, but failed to affect gold. Today, the market is awaiting University of Michigan consumer confidence and will be following the Brexit situation. We expect gold to rise in anticipation of the Fed meeting next week.> Copper holds at $5,900/tonne amid protests in Chile. Today is an important day for base metals as the US and China are scheduled to resume talks over "phase one" of an interim trade agreement. We expect copper and zinc to exhibit particular sensitivity to these developments.
