Debt Markets Today - August 5, 2021. Russian Weekly Inflation at Negative 0.1% Last Week

CIS EUROBOND MARKETAgainst the backdrop of active local bids, long-dated Russian sovereign Eurobonds gained 1.5 pp yesterday on thin trading. The euro-denominated Russian sovereigns also showed gains, led by the Russia 36, which added 0.2 pp.GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZs traded sideways ahead of yesterday's auction. The auction results turned out to be quite strong (see below), but a weakening ruble and a sudden correction in US Treasuries spoiled the mood. The US 10y yield surged 8 bps yesterday evening on remarks from the Fed about when QE tapering might begin. OFZ yields finished the day 1-2 bps higher.
