CIS EUROBOND MARKETAfter a sharp rise in US Treasury yields on Thursday, Russian sovereign Eurobond prices were under pressure from the start on Friday. However, when UST yields started falling later in the day, Russian sovereigns managed to pare losses. The Russia 42 led the market, adding 0.3 pp for the day, while the Russia 23 was the biggest underperformer, ending 0.2 pp lower. GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields continued to move lower on Friday morning amid the rise in global risk appetite that began the previous day. However, the CBR's rate decision and comment that it would assess the feasibility of further key rate cuts in 1H20 caused yields to spring back to Thursday's closing levels and close flat, as some investors had been anticipating a 25 bp cut in February.
