CIS EUROBOND MARKETActivity was high, as US investors returned to their desks following a public holiday. US Treasury yields rose in the morning and exerted pressure on Russian sovereign quotes. Prices fell 0.3 pp at the long end but did not change significantly at the short end and in the middle. The Russia 43 sank 0.3 pp to 113.0% (YTM 5.0%, Z-spread 199 bps), losses that made it the market laggard.
GOVERNMENT DEBT
The weakening ruble sent OFZ yields 1-2 bps higher at the long end of the curve and 3-5 bps higher in the belly. The movements largely reflected UST bear flattening, while a stronger dollar was weighing on EM sovereign papers.
