Debt Markets Today - January 12, 2022. Kazakhstan Update: New Measures to Support Economy, Stability

CIS EUROBOND MARKETFollowing Monday's sharp drop in prices on Russian sovereign debt, yesterday issues maturing after 2035 recovered 0.5-1.0 pp amid strong demand from Asian investors. Local investors, meanwhile, were mostly trading the issues in the 2026-28 segment. GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields continued to climb yesterday on the back of selling by both local market participants and nonresidents. Issues 5y and shorter added 15-20 bps, while longer OFZ yields rose 10-15 bps.
