Debt Markets Today - June 25, 2021. EU Announces Sectoral Sanctions on Belarus

CIS EUROBOND MARKETBelarusian bonds were the biggest movers in our region yesterday, yielding 5-6 bp lower by the close. The Belarus 26, 27 and 31 added 0.2-0.3 pp. Armenian bonds performed well, their yields easing 3-7 bps and quotes moving 0.2-0.3 pp higher. The Russian sovereign curve barely moved.GOVERNMENT DEBTThe positive trend that took hold in the OFZ market on Wednesday remained in place yesterday. Yields moved 1-3 bps lower amid gains in the ruble. Trading volumes on the Moscow Exchange totaled R19 bln, which is in line with the average figures over the last month. Elsewhere in the local-currency EM debt space performances were mixed yesterday. Mexico's 10y paper added 11 bps in yields following an unexpected 25 bp hike to the key rate by the country's central bank.STORIES> EU announces sectoral sanctions on Belarus
