Debt Markets Today - March 6, 2020

CIS EUROBOND MARKETRussian sovereign Eurobonds opened strongly yesterday, with long paper adding another 1.0 pp, but risk appetite worsened in the middle of the day, bids fell away and quotes closed down on the day. The Russia 26 (-0.6 pp) led the declines, followed by the Russia 43 (-0.4 pp).GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields opened flat yesterday but dropped 5-9 bps along the curve by noon, although activity was not very high. In the afternoon, nonresidents began a fairly vigorous selloff at the long end, pulling yields higher along the entire curve. Yields closed 10-14 bps higher on the day in the 5y+ segment and 4-9 bps higher at the short end.
