December Ruble/FX Flows
The ruble appears set to appreciate in December on both local and global factors as geopolitical risks fade. FX liquidity is benign but may seasonally deteriorate during the last week of the year. We expect the CBR to keep the key rate unchanged at 7.50% on December 14.
