Serbia and Croatia joined their Balkan neighbors in showing significant economic improvement last year. However, this was a classic case of "a rising tide lifts all boats," as the gains were largely driven by external factors such as lower oil prices, improved economic outlook in the EU and a supportive monetary policy from the ECB.
