CIS Market Daily - September 28, 2020

MARKET COMMENT - US RALLY SPURS GAINS, ARMENIA/AZERBAIJAN DRAWS REGIONAL FOCUSRussia was almost the weakest EM, the RTS sinking 2.0% on Friday to 1,165. Softening oil prices and an underperforming ruble did not help. A US rally sets a more bullish stage for markets this morning, though without new fundamental catalysts. International tensions will feature prominently this week, amid a severe escalation in the long simmer conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, multiple events that may see EU leaders remark on the relationship with Russia, and a US presidential debate.STORIES> /> Transneft will reportedly pay its 2019 dividend in full> Gazprom committed to dividend policy despite gasification plans> Potanin comments on Nornickel's environmental capex
