Debt Markets Today - October 5, 2021. Gazprom Starts Filling Nord Stream 2 with Gas, Kernel Releases FY2021 Report
CIS EUROBOND MARKETThe risk-off sentiment in global markets continued to pressure Russian sovereigns yesterday. The biggest decline came in the Russia 42, 43 and 47, all of which shed 0.6 pp in price. The Russia 35 lost 0.4 pp, while changes elsewhere along the curve were insignificant. GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields rose 8-10 bps yesterday amid increased selling pressure from nonresident investors, which owed largely to the broad outflow of money from EM local debt. Other EM markets also witnessed a selloff yesterday. The 10y local sovereign bonds of Hungary, Mexico and South Africa jumped 10-15 bps in yield.
