MARKET COMMENTThe MSCI EM fell 1.8% on a poor day for stock markets globally, while the MSCI Russia's 1.0% decline placed it near the group median. Concerns about the course of US trade policy and weakness in particular EMs continued to hamper markets. Today, a US Senate hearing on Russia sanctions is likely to be a major market focus, while other scheduled events worth noting include the Moscow Financial Forum, remarks from CBR Governor Elvira Nabiullina, possible updates on Russian pension reform plans and US policy toward China, and ample data releases that include the US ADP jobs report and weekly oil inventories data.
