MARKET COMMENT - RUSSIA OUTPERFORMING AMID US TRADE WAR THREATS
Russia was the top major EM on Friday, the RTS squeaking out a 0.2% gain to 1,261 versus 2.1% falls for both the MSCI EM and S&P 500. On Friday, the CBR cut rates as expected, while the US market saw a particularly ugly day amid trade war threats. Morning indicators lean negative, while things to keep an eye on today include whether more EU countries and/or the US will expel Russian diplomats in solidarity with the UK.
