MSCI Client Consultations - New China A-Share Proposal, Deadline on Unequal Voting Rights
MSCI has announced a consultation to consider expanding coverage of Chinese domestically traded stocks over the course of May 2019-20. Were the proposal to be implemented, we would forecast a decline in Russia's pro forma weight in the MSCI EM from 3.64% to 3.46% over May 2019-20 as the steps are implemented.
