Russia Economic Monthly. August 2019 - Budget to Drive Economic Growth in 2H19
Russia's economic performance was decidedly sluggish in 1H19. Though annual GDP growth seems to have accelerated in 2Q19 versus 1Q19, it was probably not more than 1% in 1H19. We expect growth to keep accelerating in 2H19, driven by increased budget spending on infrastructure projects. We forecast full-year growth at 1.3%.
