Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - April 1, 2019

Risk sentiment has improved this morning, as China's manufacturing PMI for March came in better than expected at 50.8, indicating economic expansion. This suggests that the global growth situation may not be as bad as the markets fear, though the final European PMIs for March brought no positive surprises. As for global events, investors will eye today the US ISM manufacturing PMI to be released at 17:00 MSK. The ruble appears vulnerable and will likely remain volatile for a while. It could head to 66 today in the event of negative headlines.
