Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - April 27, 2021
The ruble has opened slightly stronger this morning thanks to rising oil prices. No major events are expected today, and the markets are likely to be calm ahead of the Fed decision tomorrow. Following the decision, we think the dollar could strengthen globally if Fed Chairman Jerome Powell comments on the conditions under which the Fed might taper its asset purchases.
