Most EM currencies weakened yesterday evening and remain under pressure so far this morning. This means that the current stabilization in the ruble might be temporary. Several risks are in play for the ruble this week - a possible ratcheting-up of geopolitical tensions, any escalation between the US and China or sharp selloff in the Turkish lira - which could push the Russian currency over 75 against the dollar.
