Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - August 27, 2020

We estimate the risk premium in USD/RUB at around 13% currently, which is one of the highest levels in recent years. Still, we believe the premium could expand given the ongoing tensions. The next strong level of support for the ruble is USD/RUB 77, which may well be tested in the coming days.
