Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - December 15, 2021. Ruble May Strengthen After Fed Meeting
The ruble has been stable this morning even though the dollar has continued to strengthen globally. We think the ruble could end up slipping to 74 or perhaps a little bit weaker than that at some point today. However, we expect the Fed's rhetoric to become only a little more hawkish today, which seems to be what markets also expect.
