The key event this week will be the US decision on tariff hikes on Chinese imports planned for December 15. We believe that markets are likely to trade sideways ahead of this decision. If there is no sign of this today or tomorrow, markets could switch to risk-off closer to the weekend, as an escalation in the trade war is almost not priced in at present.
