Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - February 6, 2019
Today, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will hold a town hall with US educators; although not technically a market event, the meeting will be of interest, as it will feature Powell's first public remarks since last week's Fed decision. However, we doubt he will surprise markets. As for economic releases, we do not see any today that are likely to have a significant impact on the FX market. We therefore expect the dollar and ruble to trade flat.
