Russia FX/Rates Snapshot - January 12, 2021

After opening higher, the dollar has begun to weaken this morning. Following its recent strong gains, the greenback may be set for a correction today. Against this backdrop the ruble has firmed to 74.4 and could target 74. The focus today will be on remarks by Fed officials and Russia's inflation report for December.
